“Wicked” Part Two Trailer Drops — And Yes, I’m Already Emotionally Wrecked (and Possibly Tattooed)

Witches, assemble. The new trailer for Wicked: For Good just dropped, and if your spine didn’t tingle, I assume you have no soul—or at least no Broadway bootleg history. As someone with Elphie’s glasses and Glinda’s bubble literally inked into their skin (yes, really), I am here to report: it’s giving drama, it’s giving heartbreak, it’s giving epic conclusion we’ve waited an entire cursed year for.

The film, set to fly into theaters November 21, 2025, continues the story of everyone’s favorite frenemies, Glinda the Good (Ariana Grande in full glitter and passive-aggressive smiles) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo, redefining what it means to “Defy Gravity” and probably our tear ducts too). If Part One was the sparkly build-up—the gowns, the galas, the friendship that launched a thousand TikToks—then Part Two is the gorgeous, green-tinged gut punch.

Let’s talk trailer. In just two minutes, we get soaring visuals, suspicious amounts of smoke, a Very Menacing Oz, and that unmistakable crescendo of “As Long As You’re Mine” that basically sent my soul into orbit. Cynthia Erivo looks like she’s about to win another Tony just from her face, and Ariana—well, let’s just say she’s channeling Glinda’s Goodness with a side of emotional wreckage and some serious vocal sparkle.

And look, we knew this chapter was going to get darker. The tone shift is clear—we’re past the sparkly dorm rooms and into war, heartbreak, betrayal, and yes, that scene. You know the one. The one where we all pretend to be surprised that the Wizard is trash and cry like it’s our first time seeing the musical in 2005.

If you thought the first installment was just pastel frocks and poppy fields, buckle up. Part Two is here to stomp on our hearts with a jeweled heel. I, for one, will be rewatching this trailer every day until November, aggressively quoting “it’s not that easy being green” while stress-eating emerald jelly beans.

Oz has never looked more dangerous—or more delicious. See you in the front row, witches.
