Synopsis: A deep-sea diving trip at one of the world’s most remote spots becomes a fight for survival for sisters Drew (Sophie Lowe) and May (Louisa Krause) when a catastrophic landslide sends rocks tumbling into the sea. After being struck by the rockfall, May now lies 28 meters below the surface, trapped by debris and unable to move. With dangerously low levels of oxygen, it is up to Drew to fight for her sister’s life. She must put her own life in jeopardy and risk paying the ultimate sacrifice. But with no help in sight, time is quickly running out…”

Maximilian Erlenwein already demonstrated a special flair for audience appeal with his highly acclaimed and multi-award-winning thriller debut Schwerkraft (2009). With the psychological thriller Stereo (2014), which premiered in the Panorama section of the Berlinale, he confirmed himself as an up-and-coming voice of German genre cinema and most recently showedwith the Netflix production Skylines (2019) how ambition and entertainment can be combined.
While studying directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin, Max worked as a cinematographer and shot reports and magazine features. Together with Robin von Hardenberg, he founded Fat Lady Film produktion in 2005, with which he makes music videos, documentaries, image films and commercials.
