Sean Whalen praises the terrifying yet, refreshing ‘Traumatika’

Sean Whalen, who is no stranger to horror, is excited to show the world what Traumatika brings to the genre.

Synopsis: A young boy’s night terrors become reality when his mother begins showing signs of demonic possession. What he’s about to experience will haunt him for the rest of his life and claim countless lives across generations.

Directed by Pierre Tsigaridis, who co-wrote the film with Maxime Rançon, Traumatika star Rebekah Kennedy, Emily Goss, Ranen Navat, AJ Bowen, Sean O’Bryan, Susan Gayle Watts and Sean Whalen.

Sean got his first movie role as Roach in Wes Craven’s People Under The Stairs. He then got a life changing role in Twister after Steven Spielberg saw him in a Got Milk commerical. which changed his career. Sean’s appeared in movies such as Never Been Kissed, Employee of The MonthThat Thing You Do, Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 and 3 From Hell, and many others.He has also appeared in TV shows such as “Lost,” “Friends,” “Shameless,” and “Criminal Minds” and several soap operas, Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon shows.Sean is now breaking into new territory as a filmmaker with his directorial debut, Crust, a creature feature horror comedy that he co-wrote, produced, and starried in.Shortly after Crust, he teamed up with his wife to create their own production company MYSL. Since its inception, he has directed, starred in, and produced his second feature film, Swipe, a horror- slasher featuring an all-star cast, including Hana Mae Lee (Pitch Perfect) and Elaine Hendrix (The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday), among others.MYSL also teamed up with Slight Entertainment to produce their first web series together, “Pysche on Sunset, ” a story about a restaurant where all of the staff are trained therapists…. though maybe they shouldn’t be.
