We got to chat with Astrid Rotenberry about her journey from casting intern to actor, her latest role, and visiting filming locations when she’s not on set.
Astrid most recently starred in the Netflix thriller series “His & Hers,” where she played Catherine Kelly, an awkward teen who doesn’t seem to fit in at St. Hilary’s Academy. The six-episode limited series from William Oldroyd, was adapted from Alice Feeney’s novel of the same name.
According to Netflix, “His & Hers” is set in the sweltering heat of Atlanta where Anna (Tessa Thompson) lives in haunting reclusivity and is fading away from her friends and career as a journalist. But when she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega – the sleepy town where she grew up – she is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers. Detective Jack Harper (Jon Bernthal) is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story, his and hers, which means someone is always lying.
