Marc Singer is back in action with ‘Agent Recon’

80s action icon Marc Singer is back on screen fighting aliens in Derek Ting’s latest military action/sci-fi film, Agent Recon.

Agent Recon follows a covert military task force track a mysterious energy disturbance at a secret base in New Mexico that is suspected of experimenting on alien technology. Once there, the team encounters an unknown being of extraordinary strength and speed, and the ability to control an army of mindless warriors. The trio must fight through the unstoppable hordes to prevent humanity’s demise.

Marc stars as Colonel Green alongside Chuck Norris and Derek Ting (who also wrote and directed the film).

Marc Singer is an American actor known for his versatile performances across film, television, and theater. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, lived briefly in New York, and grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and in Oregon.

Marc’s acting career gained prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, where he starred in several notable film projects. One of his most iconic roles came in the science fiction epic The Beastmaster (1982), where he portrayed the lead character, Dar. The film follows Dar’s journey as a warrior with a telepathic bond to animals, seeking revenge against an evil sorcerer. The Beastmaster remains a cult classic and established Marc as a charismatic and heroic leading man.

Another significant film achievement for Singer was his role in the dystopian sci-fi film “V: The Original Miniseries” (1983) and its subsequent television series “V” (1984-1985). He played the character of Mike Donovan, a news cameraman who becomes a pivotal figure in the resistance against a technologically advanced alien species known as “The Visitors.” The series garnered a dedicated fan base and showcased Singer’s ability to portray a determined and resourceful hero.

Marc’s talent extended beyond the genre of science fiction. He showcased his acting range and dramatic prowess in the drama film If You Could See What I Hear (1982), where he portrayed the real-life character of Tom Sullivan, a blind musician and author. His sensitive portrayal earned critical acclaim and demonstrated his ability to tackle diverse roles.

Marc’s film achievements encompass a diverse range of genres, showcasing his talent and versatility as an actor. He has left a lasting impact on the entertainment industry and continues to be recognized for his contributions to film and television.
