Dashiell Mihok, AKA Dash and “Diz” Mihok, was born in Greenwich Village, New York City. His often eclectic choices in smaller independent projects―like the recent Wildflower― contrast his major-studio roles, like the motion-capture lead villain Alpha Male in the big-budget film I Am Legend. This wide range has branded him a multidimensional craftsman and friend to everyone he’s collaborated with over his 100s+ credits in television/film acting and directing.
The actor, director, producer, and musician’s career spans over 30 years, and includes such roles as Benvolio in Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, Pvt. 1cl. Doll in Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line, Jason in Roland Emmerich’s The Day After Tomorrow, Sgt. Jeremy Mitchell in Wolfgang Peterson’s The Perfect Storm, Officer Keough in David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook, as well as early work in Barry Levinson’s Sleepers and, more recently, Adrian Lyne’s Deep Water. Dash may be best known for creating the character of Bunchy Donovan in the hit series “Ray Donovan.”
