Braeden De La Garza joins the newest season of Freeform’s popular series “Cruel Summer” as Brent. Braeden’s Brent is Luke’s arrogant and entitled older brother. He’s the favorite son in their prominent family, he enjoys exerting his power over the other kids and Luke.
Synopsis: Set in an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest, the next chapter of Cruel Summer follows the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship. Approaching the story from three different timelines surrounding Y2K, the season twists and turns as it tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend Luke, the love triangle that blossomed, and the mystery that would impact all of their lives going forward.
Born in Grapevine, Texas, Braeden was raised by a family that is both musically and entertainment oriented. He caught the acting bug at the young age of seven and had already performed in multiple stage productions and acted in numerous projects both large and small. So, being surrounded by family both in front and behind the camera (Demi Lovato is his cousin), Braeden is no stranger to entertainment. Not only does he act, but he records his own music, producing, mixing, and mastering everything on his own. His creative journey is just beginning, and the young rising star is excited to share all he has in store with the world!
Braeden‘s most notable work includes playing the role of Prince Emmet in the Disney+ Emmy-Award winning series The Quest, as well as That’s Showbiz Baby, Run Hide Fight, Frankly, Vecinos: The Movie, Baphomet, and Moonlight Dancer.

Outside of acting and singing, Braeden loves to play guitar, piano, drums, bass, ukulele, and the harmonica. He also loves to sketch and paint. Braeden is passionate about the music organization MusiCares – which focuses on providing financial, mental, health and social assistance to struggling music professionals. He also supports the mission behind the The Trevor Project – an organization that uplifts and spreads awareness on suicide prevention among the LGBTQ+ youth.
