It’s almost time for our favorite siblings to return for season two of The Umbrella Academy, and we finally have a glimpse of what the new season holds. First off, our eccentric heroes are alive, and we couldn’t be more excited! If you haven’t watched season one yet, we strongly recommend that you add this to your summer binge list before the new season returns on July 31….and before you read any further.
Season one of The Umbrella Academy ended with our family of superheroes attempting to save the world from the apocalypse. Unfortunately, things didn’t quite go as planned, and Number Five (Aidan Gallagher) had no choice but to try and use his powers of time travel and hopefully pull off a hail mary. In the last moments, he uses the collective energies of his brothers and sisters, and the whole group vanishes as the world heads for the inevitable apocalypse.
So, where did they end up? Well, thankfully, The Umbrella Academy twitter account just posted a few teaser images, and it looks like we aren’t in Kansas anymore!

Since time travel can be a bit tricky and we know that Number Five had trouble controlling it when he was off on his own, it looks like the gang might have headed back in time. According to EW’s article, they have ended up in Dallas in the 1960s. They are looking different, but it seems they’ll have retained their quirkiness, not to mention all seven of them are back. Luther (Tom Hopper), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Diego (David Castañeda), Klause (Robert Sheehan), Ben (Justin H. Min), Number five, AND Vanya (Ellen Page) who we last saw unconscious!

While the tweets are naturally vague, it seems there will be another disaster waiting for them, and let’s hope that this time they are successful.

This last set of images introduces a few new faces that look a bit like trouble, and we cannot wait to see what havoc they cause!
There will undoubtedly be some insanity that ensues as they try and get out of their predicament, but let’s hope they can also avoid the end of the world that we saw in season one. We aren’t sure quite how that will work cause time travel is chaotic, and there are so many consequences, but it’s sure to be a hilarious and exciting ride!
