Director Andrew Boodhoo Kightlinger and lead actor Luke David Blumm do a beautiful job of taking on the incredible true survival story of Don Fendler in their latest film, Lost on a Mountain in Maine.

Luke David Blumm started his career with roles in TV hits such as “The Walking Dead,” “Watchmen,” and “The Sinner.” When he was 9 years old, he made his feature film debut in Judd Apatow’s The King Of Staten Island for Universal Pictures. Next, Luke starred in a string of features including Shudder’s highly acclaimed award-winning horror/thriller Son, Amazon’s I Want You Back, Vertical Entertainment’s Lola and Sony Pictures’ Where The Crawdads Sing. Luke was a series regular in Ryan Murphy’s hit series “The Watcher” for Netflix. He stars in the soon to be released Avenue Of The Giants. Luke also enjoys playing guitar and singing in his band Sum Yung Guyz.

Born and raised in Madagascar and later living in South Dakota, Andrew Boodhoo Kightlinger’s multi-cultural origins have fueled a prolific genre-fluid approach to storytelling. Growing up in Madagascar in the 1980s, there was a footlocker full of movies that traveled around from missionary family to missionary family, and it was a trove of Joe Dante movies that taught Andrew about filmmaking and led him on his path to becoming a director. In addition to Lost on a Mountain in Maine, Kightlinger has directed the prairie-bound drama Tater Tot & Patton starring Jessica Rothe and the award-winning short film Destroyer with Alan Ruck. He is also the winner of the Screenwriting Grand Prize at the 2016 Slamdance Film Festival. He also recently directed the short dance film “Becoming,” a collaboration between The Getty Center and Sony.

Based on the book by the same name, Lost on a Mountain in Maine tells the inspiring story of a 12-year-old boy, who, separated from his family by a fast moving storm, must fight to stay alive during his nine-day adventure lost in the backwoods of Maine. The book was written by Donn Fendler, as told to Joseph B. Egen.
