Synopsis: 1976, Brian de Palma directs Carrie, the first novel by Stephen King. Since then, more than 50 directors have adapted the master of horror’s books, in more than 80 films and series, making him the most adapted author alive in the world. What’s so fascinating about him that filmmakers cannot stop adapting his works? King on Screen reunites the filmmakers that have adapted Stephen King’s books for cinema and TV and is a movie made for the fans and with the fans, led by an international ambition.

Daphné began her career at the age of 5. She grew up on film sets and developed a real passion for directing. At the age of 20, she directed her first short film, Danse Funèbre, followed by several other shorts, including Tag, you’re it!, selected at the 2017 Uppsala Film Festival. She shot her first documentary, Beyond Bars, in Belgium’s largest prison. It was broadcast on Belgian national television and a selection of local TV channels. She went on to direct several feature-length documentaries, including Deauville and the American Dream (with Michael Douglas, Claude Lelouch, Ira Sachs… premiered at the Deauville American Film Festival in 2020 ), The Rebellious Olivia de Havilland ( Cannes Festival 2021 ), and King on Screen ( Fantastic Fest, Sitges, Gerardmer… ). She is currently completing her next documentary, Hitchcock pro-nazi film, about Hitchcock’s investment in the war effort and his failed collaboration with Steinbeck on Lifeboat, and preparing her first narrative feature.
