Shows You Should Be Watching This Pride Month

HBO Max

It takes no compromise to give people their rights … it takes no money to respect the individual. It takes no political deal to give people freedom. It takes no survey to remove repression. -Harvey Milk

pride /prīd/ noun – a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired.

Every June, the LGBTQ+ community congregates to commemorate the June 1969 Stonewall riots. We honor and celebrate those who paved the way with their determination and courage so that we could walk more freely and pridefully in the world today. Although there is still work to be done, we’ve come a long way. Representation in media, art, and music is flourishing and we are finally being “seen”.

Check out these shows that represent and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
